Picture Clue : Word Puzzle Game app for iPhone and iPad
Picture Clue is a unique word game where you have to guess the words from a picture clue. In hangman style, as you try letter by letter, the picture clue is revealed piece by piece. The maximum score possible in any round is 100. As you try more and more letters, you lose points. Once you guess the secret word correctly, you move to the BONUS round where you have to guess the two bonus words without missing a single letter.
Letters you try cost you points. Each letter is color coded taking into account its frequency in English words. The highest cost is for the letter E and the cheapest letters to try are Z, X, Q and J.
Puzzles are not repeated when you restart and scores are maintained across sessions internally to ensure that you can submit your scores once you try all the puzzles. High scores are maintained on an external server.
Picture Clue is starting off with 80 individually picked puzzle pictures. More and more pictures will be added with forthcoming updates.

I LOVE it! I introduced it to my husband (not really a word game enthusiast) and he too is as hooked as I am. The inclusion of the picture slowly revealing is the magic of this game. I cant wait for the additions to come.
This is a great word game. Not too hard or too easy, but just right. The addition of the pictures sets this game apart from other word guess games. And a very reasonable price.
I love the word games. There are some real winners in the Apps Store. Picture Clue is no exception.
WOW..the use of pictures as clues... how cleaver. Just keep adding more pictures. I dont know if there is a way to make this a multi-player game but if so I think it would be cool.
I have spent hours with this game, hard to put down once you get started.
Some bad moments
Picture Clue does provide some brain stimultion while trying to guess the three words related to a picture that is not fully revealed. But...
There is no win-lose to this game, so accumulating points is meaningless. You can guess the word with your last remaining letter and the game still goes on accumulating points round after round.
The keyboard is touchy. After you solve the main word, the round will end if you make a bad guess at letters in the remaining words. Almost every time my round will end because the keyboard detects the wrong letter I am aiming at (even when I know the remaining words).
This is a fun app but it only has a limited number of pictures which I solved in 2 days! Have to wait fo an update to get new pictures
Why no update to this fun app since May 2009? Almost a full year with no update! Company appears to only want new business and doesnt care about existing ones!
